STORY

On February 2nd 2019 we brought Gerd Janson b2b Krystal Klear, Fort Romeau b2b Pional and Nick Castle to E1 for Running Back - Touchdown London. Here is Pional playing an unreleased gem that evening.

This track struck a chord with us and we had to find the ID. Pional kindly pointed us in the way of a young French producer called Cédric Sheva. We found Cédric online and he sent us the track to play out, which is a rework of Aphex Twin's - Rhubard and features a sample of Bicep - Glue.

We road tested the track ourselves at Motion, Bristol on December 14th 2019.

That reaction and applause rarely happens on a breakdown and you know the music is creating a special vibe, when it does.

We knew this track had been crafted together by a talented individual and got back in touch with Cédric to see what other productions we was sitting on. At the time, we were just looking for a few more unreleased tracks to play in our sets. Little did we know…

Low and behold, there were dozens of tracks Cédric had produced and had hardly left his laptop, let alone been played in nightclubs. Music this good deserves to be heard by the ears of the world and we approached Cédric to see if we could be a conduit between his art and the world around us.

After months of conversations via email and Zoom and using a translator to navigate the language barrier, we signed Cédric as the first artist on Labyrinth Records and will be working with him to bring his music to your ears.

Cédric is the first in a series of artists we will be working with in our first year, all of whom have something in common - their music resonates deeply with us and is music we wholeheartedly believe the world needs to hear.

Music has a wonderful way of giving back to you when you treat it with the care and passion it deserves.
